Nighttime Beauty Routines You Should Start Doing Right Now

You need to have your eight hours of sleep to look fresh in the morning. But there are more things to pay attention to. You need to start with your nighttime routine a couple of hours before you go to bed. Here's what you can do to shine in the morning:

1. Invest in a quality night cream

You skin will appreciate if you pamper it with a luxurious night cream. That way, you will hydrate it and soothe it during the night and help it recover from the daily stress it has been exposed to. And don’t neglect your neck – it also needs to be hydrated.

2. Remove the makeup

This is a step you mustn't skip! Removing your makeup before going to bed means washing away all the excessive oil and dirt that got stuck on your face. You need to let your skin breathe. After you have removed your makeup, cleanse your skin. If you feel very tired, skip the cleansing but remove the makeup at all costs.

3. Remove dry skin

If you exfoliate before going to sleep, you will loosen up all the dead and dull skin cells and remove most of them. This will allow your pores to clean. Once a week, use a good exfoliator after you have cleansed your skin.

 4. Use a serum

An antioxidant-packed serum is a great tool in fighting wrinkles and other signs of aging. The best time to apply a serum is after you have cleansed and exfoliated your skin.

5. Turn on a humidifier

If you combine a barrier repair moisturizer with an air humidifier places in your bedroom, it will help your skin get hydrated and it will look plumper. Being like that, your skin will be more resistant to allergens and look fine-lined. If you work hard on hydrating your skin overnight, you can use much lighter moisturizer during the day.

6. Oral hygiene

What happens in your mouth overnight reflects on your face. Brush your teeth with a soft bristled toothbrush, but also floss after that and use a therapeutic mouthwash to strengthen your teeth and keep your breath fresh. Getting a good oral care has big effects both the next morning and on the long run on your overall health.

7. Use two pillows

It's good to prop your head up by using an extra pillow. You will avoid puffiness in the morning. You could also try propping up the head of the bed by placing a small piece of wood under it. Gravity helps you during the night so that the fluids don't accumulate under the eyes.

8. Pin your hair back

Oils and dirt in your hair can get on your face while you are sleeping and lead to breakouts. It's best if you braid your hair or pin it up to keep it off your face.

9. Don't forget the eyes

Eyes are the most sensitive part of your face, so pay special attention to them. Apply a cream that's targeted to eyes specifically. Find a cream with hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin on your eyes and flatten the fine lines around them. Caffeine is another useful component of an eye cream because it removes puffiness. Apply the cream by using your ring finger and do it gently. Next, apply an eyelash serum. As we age, our eyelashes will decrease in thickness, so take good care of them, too.

10. Spot treatment with a purifying mask

In case you notice any acnes or pimples, use a purifying mask and leave it overnight. You will get much better results than leaving the mask on for just 10 minutes or so.

Final words

NIghttime beauty routine can be done in just 15 minutes, while the benefits can be incredible. Your skin, hair, eyes and teeth will be visibly improved after just a couple of days if you stick to the routine.
